ABOUT VAN!
Van Angelo (they/them), is an actor, music teacher, music director, and musical theatre educator located in San Diego. Van is a recent graduate of San Diego State University with their MFA in Musical Theatre, and proud Westminster Choir College graduate. Van served as Director of Choral Activities for Rancho Verde High School with Val Verde Unified School District for five years where they taught choir, piano, private voice, and dramatic coached. Van has been a musical theatre performer and educator for over 20 years and on occasion you can catch Van singing at Legoland California. Music Directing Credits: Urinetown, Anything Goes (SDMT), Leonard Bernstein's New York (NVA), Moana Jr. (MYT), Little Shop of Horrors, Seussical, and The Little Mermaid (VVUSD). Van has performed with the New York Philharmonic, Vienna Chamber Orchestra, Boston Symphony Orchestra, Zelda Symphony Orchestra, and the Philadelphia Orchestra. Van is also featured on the recording of Bernstein’s MASS with Yannick Nézet-Séguin and the Philadelphia Orchestra. Van is a two-time Inland Theatre League Award winner, and a Desert Theatre League Award winner.
